A series of works commissioned by the University of Leiden in collaboration with the College of Amsterdam in 2022. These works strive to answer the question “What causes autoimmune disease?”

This commission was a research project, reseaching whether or not fine art could be effective in depicting scientific research. Eight artists and scientists participated and each received a scientific question of their own. My questions was “What causes autoimmune disease”. To answer this question I worked closely with professor of Neuro-Immunology Prof.dr. Bert A. ‘t Hart PhD. This series is based on his answer(s) or lack there of, and my artistic interpretation.
